The city council voted to launch WhiteBirdIdaho.org to the world at Monday’s meeting. We welcome the world to our community.
As many of you know, White Bird is in the process of replacing our sewer plant. Although the plant continues to function as designed, and remains environmentally sound, age is rapidly catching up to it. Funding has been secured, the engineering study has been completed, and all we are awaiting is regulatory approval from the Idaho D.E.Q.
In the meantime, I must ask for your help. Diapers, feminine-hygiene products, wet-wipes, condoms, and any other non-water-soluble products are all potentials for disaster. Any one of these items could potentially ruin our one and only sewer pump. So, please watch what you flush! Thank you for your cooperation!!!
Sincerely, Your Cacaman, Jerry
Hello White Bird!! First I would like to thank all you city water customers for your cooperation in helping us make it through one of the worst drought seasons in recent memory. Water conservation is an issue facing the entire country and it is not going away.
By operating the well pumps by hand (as opposed to automatic) we made it through the summer with little or no loss of well production. Our hearts go out to the many neighboring communities that weren’t so lucky.
